And it's not just Republicans. Democrats are just as bad.

Why is it that when Democrats don't want to extend a tax cut, they insist it's not a tax increase; YET when Republicans don't want to extend increased funding for a social program, Democrats claim we're slashing funding. It happens because liberals are just as dishonest as conservatives.

I expect more out of Republicans, but not enough people do. The majority of us would rather fight lies with more lies - to hell with the truth unless it can be used selectively to mislead someone.

If our ideology is truly better, why can't we beat Democrats with honesty, civility, and valor? We can do a LOT better than this kind of nonsense.

Instead, Republicans will go to the polls in November to vote for a man whose only qualifications to be the GOP nominee is that he was a liberal governor who forced through socialized medicine in Massachusetts, publicly funded abortions, and spent millions and millions of dollars attacking Republican challengers in the primary.

Quite frankly, neither one of these men deserve a conservative vote in November, and they're certainly not getting mine.

Ohhhhhhh, so the graphic above is simply a non-political statement about economic conditions in the United States over the last three years? You see, I missed that because it calls out the President by name and says Liberals lie.

President Obama did inherit a mess. Every President inherits a mess. That's the state of the world and human existence. What this message actually does is deny that reality and insinuating that the current state of things is entirely the fault of Obama.

Coincidentally, Republicans (including myself) were screaming foul when Democrats tried that same nonsense in 2004.

How short our memories are...

Great post or is it ? It simply states the facts that we have had to live with for the last 3 plus years. I would vote for the blown off leg of a suicide bomber before I would vote for Obama. Not a big fan of Romney but he will get my vote without hesitation. There is a plus to Obama, he has ignited and poured gasoline onto the conservative fire and I believe there will be a true conservative government before I die.

Thanks Ken. That Muslim/Communist or Muslim/Gay Lobby stuff really should be a red flag that the person is motivated by hate and not truth. Communism is not compatible with Islam and Islam's stance on homosexuality makes the Catholic Church look like Anglicans.

I have pretty much given up on trying to introduce honesty to conversations.

Many of the Righties I know would rather believe that Pres. Obama is responsible for every evil thing that has ever happened and that every Republican is a virtuous saint.

NPR recently ran a story about how people will shift their beliefs to fit partisan talking points, and the only thing I got from one friend was "More leftist trash." Never mind that the article was as critical of Lefties as it was of Righties.

I know some very intelligent people who believe Andrew Card's assertion that Pres. Obama is defiling the Oval Office by not wearing a suit when he enters it, and are immune to the photo spreads of the Bushes, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, etc. dressed casually.

It's pretty damned frustrating.

One guy I know put on Facebook, within hours of each other, the accusation that Pres. Obama is a "hard-line Muslim trying to establish Sharia law" and then a "leftist progressive agent of the gay rights lobby."

'Cause we all know how friendly those radical Muslims are to homosexuals, right?

Anyway ... great post.

What's really depressing is that it took over 1900 words to debunk a graphic with only 52 words. If you want to know why common sense is fleeting in this country, this is a great example.

Well, my local county actually nominated some pretty awesome Republican candidates. Beyond that, well... we're blowing it.

" But Republican primary voters really screwed themselves this time."

There's a big difference between them though. This general feared for his life if he didn't follow orders, but the woman just enjoyed her life and was in it for the money.
